The Applicants' Ombudsman

The Applicant's ombudsman Marina Bengtsson

The Applicant's ombudsman Marina Bengtsson

Applicants who have views on how they have been treated by the Migration Board can direct their views to the Board's Applicants' Ombudsman. The Ombudsman is Marina Bengtsson.
The Applicants' Ombudsman helps applicants who think they have been treated badly to safeguard their interests.

The Ombudsman receives and investigates views and complaints given by applicants (or their representatives) on how they have been treated by the Board' s personnel. The Ombudsman does not, however, handle issues concerning the considering or decisions in individual applications. Such questions should be directed to the Public Contact Unit or the unit that handles the application.

The Ombudsman takes initiatives to make the Board' s ways of meeting applicants better.

The Ombudsman puts together the views and complaints he has received. These are then used in the training of the Board's staff and for organisational development.
