Mithun contributes his IT skills

"It was three years ago that I came here to introduce the IT system that my company in India had created. When I landed in Sweden in February it was very cold and I froze in my summer jacket."

"I was given a work permit to transfer the system to the client, which was a bank in Sweden. I am still there because the development work expanded and now I am working on linking up different IT systems. I have learned to understand Swedish, but English is my working language."

Even though Mithun is bringing his knowledge to Sweden, he will also take experience from Sweden with him when he returns home.
"I have had to learn to live in an environmentally aware way and that is something I am going to take with me when I move back to India," says Mithun.
21,584 people were granted residence and work permits in Sweden in 2010.
