If you are applying via our web site you can get help with filling in the application and submitting all the information needed. You can also get help in applying with the easiest and least expensive method. In most cases the processing time will also be shorter.
If you have submitted an application for Swedish citizenship you will in most cases receive a decision within 1 year. However, we expect to gradually shorten the waiting times during the year.
Notification about Swedish citizenship can only be done for children up to the age of 18 and in some cases if you are between 18 and 20 years old. The waiting time for notification of Swedish citizenship is approximately 7 months.
