New regulations for exemptions from the obligation to hold a work permit (AT-UND)

On 10 June the government decided to change the regulations for exemptions from the obligation to hold a work permit (AT-UND). These changes apply as of 1 August 2010.
The new regulations mean that asylum seekers can be granted an AT-UND even if their case isn´t estimated to take more than four months to settle (previously, an AT-UND was only granted if the case was estimated to take more than four months to process). However, the requirement that the asylum seeker helps to establish their identity remains.

An AT-UND is not normally given in cases that are processed according to the Dublin Regulation or if the application is obviously unfounded.
