I am a citizen of the United States of America and I want to move to my relative who is a Danish citizen living in Sweden. What should I do?
If your relative has the right of residence in Sweden, you can apply for a residence permit after entering Sweden provided that you are covered by the right of residence and that you meet the conditions for a residence card.
If your relative does not have the right of residence in Sweden, according to national laws you should apply for a residence permit before entering Sweden.
