Application for citizenship — Nordic citizens

These pages specify what applies if you, as a citizen of Denmark, Finland, Iceland or Norway, wish to apply for Swedish citizenship.
In order to become a Swedish citizen by application, you must:
  • be able to prove your identity
  • have reached the age of 18
  • have lived in Sweden for a specified period
  • have conducted yourself well in Sweden.
