Extending your permit
You must apply for an extension of your permit before your current permit expires. The Migration Board does not send out reminders.
You can choose whether to send in your application for an extension by mail or to submit it in person at one of the Migration Board's permit units. You can not submit your application on-line if you are already in Sweden.
