IGC

IGC is an informal forum where officials in different countries can discuss and exchange information concerning asylum and migration.
IGC (Intergovernmental Consultations on Migration, Asylum and Refugees) is also a service body which produces statistical data and other information.

The following countries currently participate: Belgium, Denmark, France, Finland, the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, Spain, Sweden, Germany, Greece, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA.
 
The Secretariat is based in Geneva. The chairmanship of IGC rotates between its participating states. Sweden was chair from 2007-2008 and chose circular migration as the theme. Switzerland was chair from 2008-2009 and the position until 2010 is held by Finland.
