Fill out the application form on the Migration Board's home page and include all the required documents when you submit it. Pay the application fee via internet bank transfer. Once the Migration Board has received your application we will send an email to your family member in Sweden with instructions for how to log in and reply to an online questionnaire.Once the Migration Board has received both your application and your family member's replies to the questionnaire, processing of the application begins. A short time later you will receive a reminder to make an appointment for an interview at the Swedish mission abroad (embassy or consulate-general) nearest to you.
When you visit the foreign mission your documents will be checked and the background to your application will be examined. You will also be photographed and your fingerprints will be taken for your residence permit card. The mission will then send the documents to the Migration Board for processing leading to the acceptance or rejection of your application.
