Has the Swedish Migration Board changed its view of Somali passports?
Sweden does not accept any Somali passports that were issued or extended after 31 January 1991. The rules are the same as the Swedish Migration Board has had for a long time and there is no change.
The change that comes about due to the recent decision from the Migration Court of Appeal does, however, mean that children have a greater opportunity to receive a residence permit even though they do not have a passport that Sweden accepts.
