The old stickers that used to be put in your passport as proof of your residence permit in Sweden expire on 20 May 2015. If you have a sticker in your passport, you therefore have to book an appointment at the Swedish Migration Board to exchange your sticker for a residence permit card.

From 1 August 2014, the Swedish Migration Board has legal support for performing follow-ups in work permit cases to check that the prospective employee commenced work and that the offered employment conditions – especially the salary – are adhered to.
