EU and international

The Swedish Migration Board actively participates in EU activities and works in close collaboration with many international organisations such as the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM). The Board also participates in several different international networks.

EU Seminar on Practical Cooperation in the field of Asylum and Protection

Much has happened in the area of asylum and migration in Europe over the last year, but the Member States of the EU need to do more to achieve a common European asylum system by 2012 and to take greater responsibility for helping refugees around the world. This was noted at a seminar on 29—30 October.
