More asylum seekers according to new prognosis

The number of asylum seekers is increasing, and a larger percentage is expected to be granted protection in Sweden. This is stated in the Migrations Board's latest report to the Swedish Government. The reason for this is the severe situation in Somalia and Afghanistan. This development means that the Swedish Migration Board will have more cases to handle and that more newly arrived persons will need settlement in Swedish municipalities.
