National Service Centre

At the National Service Centre, you can submit applications and ask questions about

  • resident permits for work, studies, visits or to live with someone in Sweden
  • aliens' passports or travel documents
  • Swedish citizenship
  • protection and asylum, allowances or repatriation.

If you come on other business, you should still check in at the National Service Centre.

Only unaccompanied children can apply for asylum in Norrköping. If you are an adult you may visit the application unit in Stockholm, Gothenburg or Malmö.

You can use the Migration Agency’s self service terminals to

  • search for information online
  • schedule an appointment at the Migration Agency
  • use the Migration Agency’s digital services
  • copy, scan or print forms and other documents.

Ask our staff if you require any assistance.

Book an appointment for your visit if you are going to:

  • have your fingerprints and photograph taken
  • apply for an alien's passport or a travel document
  • collect an alien's passport or a travel document
  • collect an Asylum Seeker Card ("LMA-kort”)
  • apply for a special allowance
  • extend tourist stays in Sweden.

Extending a residence permit based on the need for protection

This is where you can submit an application for an extension if you have been granted a temporary residence permit based on the need for protection.
