Increased minimum cash compensation for au pairs
As of 3 October, the minimum level of cash compensation for a person applying for a work permit to work as an au pair in Sweden will be raised.
Anyone hiring an au pair must provide food, accommodation, insurance and cash compensation for work performed. The Swedish Migration Agency has decided that the minimum level of cash compensation for an au pair is 10 percent of the price base amount. This means the level is now increased from SEK 3,500 to SEK 4,830.
This new minimum amount applies to all applications that are decided on or after 3 October. The level will be increased each time a new price base amount is set so that it always represents 10 percent of the price base amount.
