New website and guide to the Upper Secondary School Act

There is now a new website about the Upper Secondary School Act. It will be an addition to the questions and answers that were already present concerning this law. The page will also contain a guide with which you can test whether you are eligible for a residence permit for upper secondary school studies.

On 1 June 2017, a new law entered into force that enables people aged 17–24 who have applied for asylum in Sweden to apply for a residence permit based on upper secondary school studies: the so-called Upper Secondary School Act. There is now a new website with information on this law, how to apply for a residence permit based on upper secondary school studies, what requirements will apply to you, and what happens after you have completed your studies. There is also a guide with which you can test whether you are eligible to be granted a residence permit based on upper secondary school studies. The website and guide are available in Swedish and English.
