New e-service for those who have fled the war in Ukraine

Persons who have fled the war in Ukraine can now apply online for protection under the Temporary Protection Directive.

The new e-service is available for Ukrainian citizens with valid passports or other identification documents, and their family members. You can apply online for you and your family members who came to Sweden with you. Your family members do not need to be Ukrainian citizens.

If you apply via the e-service, and have made your own housing arrangements, you do not need to visit the Swedish Migration Agency until after the decision has been made.

If you cannot use the e-service

If you have fled from the war in Ukraine, but cannot use the e-service to apply for temporary protection you must visit the Swedish Migration Agency to register you application in person.

When we register your application, we will take your photograph and fingerprints, and you can tell us if you need help with food and housing.

If you need help with housing

Visit the Swedish Migration Agency in person if you need help with housing. If possible, you should register you application for temporary protection via the e-service before visiting us so that we can help you faster when you arrive.
