Employers who recruit highly qualified workers will receive better service

The Swedish Migration Agency has decided to establish new international recruitment units that will provide better service to employers recruiting highly qualified workers. This will shorten processing times and contribute to a competitive Sweden.

To fulfil the Swedish Government’s mandate to promote the recruitment of highly qualified workers, the Swedish Migration Agency has decided to introduce a new model for labour market cases. Among other things, this new model includes international recruitment units that will provide additional services to employers seeking to hire highly qualified workers from outside the EU.

The new international recruitment units will replace the current certification process. The introduction of the new model is planned for the end of the year, following dialogue with the business community.
