Here you find current data about international protection (asylum). Updates are made on the 15th of each month. If the 15th falls on a public holiday, the data are published the next working day.

Statistics about international protection are currently being developed

While we are developing follow-up procedures based on the new processes being introduced in connection with the EU’s pact on migration and asylum, we are temporarily limiting certain asylum statistics from 15 July.

The changes to the asylum process mean changes to how data is registered in the Swedish Migration Agency’s systems. Before we can publish statistics, we need to ensure that the data can be compiled in an accurate and comparable manner. Once this is complete, we will publish the statistics retrospectively.

In the meantime, we are reporting registered applications from our case management systems.
