How we handle your tip

If you submit an anonymous tip, it cannot be linked to you. The person or employer whom the tip concerns will not know who submitted the tip.

We will not be able to provide feedback on what happens after you submit your tip or what actions are taken.

Any information you submit to us may become a public document. This means that anyone can request the information you have provided. Sensitive information is in most cases protected by confidentiality and therefore not disclosed.

Parties in a case, such as applicants, co-applicants or legal representatives, have the right to access all decision documentation. The purpose is to provide a clear picture of the case and ensure a fair process. Certain data may be confidential, but the right of access for parties is nonetheless more extensive than the right to access public documents.

Do not send protected information

The Swedish Migration Agency can only handle information that can be registered and used in our work.

We do not want to receive documents or compilations that only certain people have access to, for example:

intelligence reports with restricted access (which are secret, internal, or confidential)
password-protected files
lists or compilations that cannot be used in the individual case.

Examples of important information include: name, address and personal identity number or company registration number. You can also include the phone number or company name.
