If you want to extend your visit due to an extraordinary event, you cannot simultaneously provide other reasons for your visit. You must be prepared to travel home as soon as the opportunity arises.
You can only apply for a residence permit due to extraordinary events if you are in Sweden.
You are not allowed to work or settle here
The residence permit is only valid for one visit and does not give you the right to work or settle in Sweden.

Documents showing that you have a means of financial maintenance
You must have at least SEK 450 for each day of your visit to Sweden. You can prove this with a bank statement, pay slip, certificate of employment, or another document that shows that you or your guarantor has money to cover the entirety of your stay in Sweden.
Copy of your medical travel insurance policy stating the terms and conditions of the insurance
Copy of a valid residence permit in another Schengen country
If you already have a residence permit.
Power of attorney – if someone else will be applying for you
A representative can apply for you, if you grant them power of attorney. In that case, the person who applies for you must attach a copy of the power of attorney to your application.
Form regarding financial maintenance, if someone else will be supporting you financially
The person who will support you (the guarantor) must fill in the form:

Copy of the guarantor’s ID card, if someone else will be supporting you financially
Birth record or birth certificate stating the names of the child’s parents, if the application concerns a child
Copy of the parent/legal guardian's passport, if the application concerns a child
Certificate or power of attorney for the person who will be representing the child, from at least one of the parents/legal guardians
If the application concerns a child under the age of 18 who is travelling without a parent/legal guardian.
