You fill in your part of the application

Once the client has completed their part, you will receive an email with a link to the e-service. In your capacity as a representative, you must then fill in your part of the application. You log in, fill in the application, and attach the necessary documents. In your application, you indicate which Swedish embassy or consulate-general the employee wants to visit to present their passport. In some cases, they may also be asked to come to the embassy for an interview.

Only once you have completed and submitted your part of the application will it be registered with the Swedish Migration Agency.

We will contact you or the contractor if we need more information.

Present a passport and provide fingerprints

Before we can make a decision regarding an application for a work permit, the employee must present their passport, if they have not done so before. If a passport control is necessary, the Swedish Migration Agency will contact the embassy that was selected in the application, and you in your capacity as the employee’s representative. If the employee needs an entry visa to travel to Sweden, they may also be fingerprinted and photographed. This information will later be used to produce a residence permit card, if they are granted a permit for a period of more than three months.

You receive our decision

Once we have made our decision, an email will be sent to the email address you registered in the e-service. If you have a Swedish address, the decision will then be sent to you by post. In certain cases, you need to book an appointment at the embassy to pick it up. When you receive the decision, you can find out the reasons on which we based it.
