You apply and book an appointment

You fill in the form and send the application and the necessary documents to the Swedish Migration Agency.

You are photographed and fingerprinted

To get an emergency alien’s passport, you must visit us in person to be photographed and fingerprinted. You will receive information from the Swedish Migration Agency on how and when you should carry out the personal visit. Children must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian or guardian. If you would prefer to pick up your alien’s passport at a location other than where you will be photographed, please let us know during your visit.

The Swedish Migration Agency reviews all the information in your application. We will contact you if we need more information.

You receive our decision

Once our decision is ready, we will send it to you by post. The decision will provide information about when you can collect your emergency alien's passport.
