You are photographed and fingerprinted

To get an alien’s passports, you must visit us in person to be photographed and fingerprinted. When your application has been registered, you will receive information about when to book an appointment for photography and fingerprinting.

Children must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian or guardian. If you would prefer to pick up your alien’s passport at a location other than where you will be photographed, please let us know during your visit.

Book an appointment to pick up your new passport

If you are granted an alien’s passport, you must book an appointment to collect the passport before you visit the Swedish Migration Agency.

Book an appointment for a visit

During the autumn, you may have to collect your alien's passport or travel document at one of the National Government Service Centres instead of at the Swedish Migration Agency. The reason is that the National Government Service Centres are gradually taking over a large part of the Swedish Migration Agency’s services.

You can see on My Page where you can collect your new passport. If you are collecting your new alien's passport or travel document at one of the Swedish Migration Agency’s service centres, you must book an appointment for your visit. If you are collecting your alien's passport or travel document at one of the National Government Service Centres, you do not need to book an appointment before going there.
