Each family member must complete their own application form. This also applies to children.

Submit the application

Submit the application and attached documents to:

Pay the application fee

Once we have received your application, we will contact you via email or letter with information on how to make the payment and how much you must pay.

Adults: SEK 1,000
Children: SEK 500

You will not receive a refund if your application is rejected.

The following people pay no fee to apply:

  • family members of Nordic citizens
  • EU/EEA citizens and their family members
  • Swiss citizens and their family members
  • Japanese citizens
  • persons who have been assessed as being in need of protection.

Family members of Swedish citizens must pay an application fee.

The Swedish Migration Agency is responsible for considering applications from people who want to live in Sweden, seek protection or become Swedish citizens. Our work is based on Swedish laws and international conventions, with a focus on legal certainty and effective reception and return.
