New levels of reintegration assistance from 1 June 2026

The EU Reintegration Programme (EURP) provides support for people returning to their country of origin after their application for asylum has been rejected or when they no longer have the right to remain in the EU. The levels of assistance available under the programme are now being revised.

The Swedish Migration Agency may grant reintegration assistance to people returning to certain countries. The assistance is paid after arrival in the country of origin. The new levels of assistance apply from 1 June 2026.

Arrival support

Arrival support amounts to:

  • EUR 630 for voluntary return
  • EUR 205 for enforced return.

Reintegration assistance

Reintegration assistance amounts to:

  • EUR 2,450 for the main applicant in cases of voluntary return
  • EUR 1,230 for family members in cases of voluntary return
  • EUR 1,230 for both the main applicant and family members in cases of enforced return.

Medical support

A new medical support grant is also being introduced and amounts to EUR 490.
