You can apply to retain or regain your citizenship if you risk losing it or have lost it. If you no longer want to be a Swedish citizen, you can apply to be released from your citizenship.

If you are applying for Swedish citizenship, you will be called to a personal visit to the Swedish Migration Agency to verify your identity. You will receive a letter from us when it is your turn to book a visit.
