The Swedish Migration Agency changes its assessment regarding work permits for co-applicants for students

According to the new assessment, co-applicants can get a work permit even if the student has a residence permit that is shorter than six months.

Previously, the student needed to have a residence permit for studies for at least six months in order for the co-applicant to be able to obtain a work permit as well. The changed assessment means removing that limitation. According to the new assessment, co-applicants can get a work permit even if the student has a residence permit that is shorter than six months.
