Requirements for using the e-service
To apply in the e-service, you must
- have an e-ID
- be able to scan or photograph the documents you need to attach.
If you cannot apply in the e-service
If you cannot apply in the e-service, you must visit one of the Swedish Migration Agency’s service centres to apply for your travel document.

In addition to the documents you must attach to your application, you need to bring
- your Swedish ID card
- a credit card or debit card to pay the fee
- your previous travel document (if you have one).
Make an appointment to submit your application
Before visiting the Swedish Migration Agency to submit your application, you must make an appointment. You must book an appointment for each person who wants to apply for a travel document, and each person must submit their own application form. If a child applicant does not have any parents in Sweden, their guardian must accompany the child when they come to have their photograph and fingerprints taken.
