Requirements for using the e-service
To apply in the e-service, you must
- have an e-ID
- be able to scan or photograph the documents you need to attach.

What does it cost to apply?
It costs nothing to apply, but the travel document costs SEK 350. If we grant your application for a travel document, we will contact you via email or letter with information on how to pay.
If you cannot apply in the e-service
Keep in mind that if you apply via the e-service, the waiting time will often be shorter.

Send in your application and the documents you must attach to the Swedish Migration Agency. The address is in the form.
Be photographed and fingerprinted
Before you can get a travel document, you need to be photographed and fingerprinted. If you apply using a paper form, you will receive information from the Swedish Migration Agency via email or letter about how the visit will take place.
