Sustainable Reintegration Pakistan

Sustainable Reintegration Pakistan (SRP) is a project with the overall objective of improving the quality and sustainability of reintegration support for returnees. SRP is led by the Swedish Migration Agency.

The goals of the project will be achieved by offering two different training courses:

  • Psychosocial support with a focus on group exercises, to build a solid foundation for participants' long-term self-sufficiency.
  • A business development programme, business training, with the aim of equipping returnees with the necessary skills and knowledge required to start doing business in their home country.

The Swedish Migration Agency has signed an agreement with the Youth Employability Network (YEN) to carry out the project in three regions in Pakistan: Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad. Within the framework of the project, 75 returning Pakistani migrants from the EU will take part in the project's trainings, during the period July 2023 to February 2024.

The project was initiated by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) within the framework of the Return Reintegration Facility (RRF) and is co-financed by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF).
